The convergence of Art, Music, Science, & Tech.

Confluence Fest - Grand Rapids
is returning from September 23-24, and the #KCAD community is excited to be supporting this multidimensional ideas festival converging art, music, science, and technology!
First, come see us at the Maker Expo on September 24 and explore the innovative tools and tech KCAD students use to create what's next. Then, be sure to check out the Innovation Showcase happening the same day, where our friends from the Ferris State University E-Sports Club will be throwing down in a live #RocketLeague tournament where winners will take home custom trophies designed by #KCAD students in our Dow Center FlexLab.

The music showcases at Confluence create unforgettable shared experiences for artists and music lovers. Each year is different, but our focus is always to remove borders and expand minds.

This year’s showcase features two artists who expand the limits of traditional and non-traditional instrumentation by incorporating loops, effects and textures into exuberant sonic experiences. Sprightly groove doctor Joe Hertler of Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers will perform a special solo set on Friday, Sept 23 and psychedelic electric banjoist Mike Savino of Tall Tall Trees performs Saturday, Sept 24. Don’t miss it!

Both shows are at the Listening Room at Studio Park in downtown Grand Rapids.
